Job 23:10 (New King James Version)

10] But He knows the way that I take;
When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.

Tested, We Shall Come Forth as Gold

Job's first three friends had accused him of secret wickedness. Secret, certainly; for no one had seen or heard this godly man sin. Job replied to them, "(God) knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold." 1 Peter 1:6, 7 give s the same promise: We may be grieved by various trials for a little while, but the genuineness of our faith will be found. At last, God sends a true friend to comfort Job. Elihu took up for Job and condemned the other three men for their unrighteousness. Elihu spoke eloquently of God's care for Job, and things began to fall into place. When we turn our eyes upon our Lord and Savior the pieces of the puzzle will come together.

FOR TODAY: God is bigger than any trial I'll experience.
