"Thanking God From A To Z"

    Thank God for:
Amazing grace that saved my soul, and this blessed old book that tells me so.
The call of God from a life of sin, and the door of heaven that let me in.
For eternal life and a home in the sky, where I shall live with the Father and never die.
And for the grace to help me day by day, and the unseen hand lest I should stray.
For Immanuel, Who was born by virgin birth, Jesus the God man who came down to earth.
He is the King of Kings who reigns above, and the Lord of Lords, God's gift of love.
For Mary's babe, such a Holy sight, Who was seen by the shepherds on that silent night.
He's the only begotten of the Father on high, the Prince of Peace, Who this world did crucify.
For the quickening power of the Spirit to wake, and resurrect my soul from its sleeping state.
Thank God for salvation so full and so free, and the truth of the gospel that brought it to me.
For the unseen Captain that leads my way, and brings me victory at the end of the day.
And for the water of life from the glory spout, and for all of my sins that have been X-ed out.
And last of all thank God for His yoke of love, and the zeal to plow and press for the prize above.

That is awesome, I am going to forward it to my friends.

I wrote this poem the day before Thanksgiving 2003, at a time when I was experiencing great persecution. I was almost to the point of surrendering to my own little pity party, when God made His presence so real around me and I sat down at my desk and picked up my pen. I have found Him to be a present help in time of trouble.
