Modern Wedding Vows
I was thinking the other night about wedding vows and the way that many people treat them these days. So, in honor of those people, I thought I would rewrite the traditional wedding vows to better represent people.
"To have and to hold until someone younger and better comes along,
from this day forward, for better, but it can't get much worse or else I'll be walking out the door, for richer, but not if you decide not to work and support me because then I'm gone, in health, but if you get sick, forget it. I'm not going to stick by you if you get cancer or something contageous, to love mostly, until one of us decides we're done with the other one and then we can just leave."
