Can end times study actually become obstacle to spreading the gospel?

I've seen evidence - in my life and in other believers' lives, that when one is expecting the soon coming of Christ, their ministry increases many times over.

Most of the believers I know that think His coming is far off and/or they're not worried about it, their witnessing zeal and outreach is pretty weak.

Let's face it - the apostles were looking for Christ's appearing...after all, nobody really knows. But we have signs now that tell us that it's so close. And while I'm not screaming "the sky is falling", my anticipation for the Lord's return is a major part of what fuels my devotion to Him (and got me convinced that He was who He said He is).

I don't think it is an obstacle at all. But.....unbelievers are not believers so you have to use what you have at where they are. The Lord's return discussion may be perfect for those who have a secular view of the end of the world and have interest in that and yet may not work for someone whose interest is simply wanting to know if there really is a God. You have to start at where they are at.

We have to put as much as possible time and money into spreading the gospel, Jesus is coming soon !!!
