    The Faith of Children

    I just wanted to share.
My son is 12 years old and his love and unwavering belief in Jesus and how much he is loved by God is inspiring! I know that this is in part because I have taught him this from the beginning. But to tell the truth all children seem to have this inherent knowing that Jesus loves them. When you tell a small child that God loves them they giggle or respond as if you are saying the sky is blue or that trees are tall. They JUST KNOW. The faith I had as a child is something that I wish someone had encouraged me to hold tight too. The world slowly tries to pull it away from you as you grow older. Thankfully I found it again, but it's just such a beautiful thing....
Thank goodness for the faith of little children! Thank God for my son!

    Amen,

So it be, Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. Luke 18:17

And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. Matthew 18:2-5.

It’s interesting that young children really don’t understand the world as being apart from themselves.
Very young children will sometimes begin telling you something, but they start in the middle of their thoughts.
You get to hear the end of it, but the child assumes you knew what they were thinking to begin with.

I suppose when they think of God, they see Him as just as real - as they perceive themselves to be real.
And they assume He knows them as they understand themselves.

Children also have no innate reason to be suspicious.
They aren’t aware of others as being anything but good and they haven’t become jaded by the world.

Because they can’t differentiate the outside world very well, and they have no skepticism, God (to a child) simply is.
Anything He does is good; and He can do absolutely anything.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
    Hebrews 11:6
