should we go against the Word of God

    Chew on this thought if:
Ro 6:23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Now I think most of us could agree that since eternal life is a gift from God, we could also call eternal life a blessing from God.

BLESS''ING,n. Benediction; a wish of happiness pronounced; a prayer imploring happiness upon another.
    1. A solemn prophetic benediction, in which happiness is desired, invoked or foretold.
The divine favor is the greatest blessing.

then to say that we have been saved, we could also say that we have been blessed, now hopefully 99% could agree with this thought. but watch this I call upon the Name of the Lord I meant business I sold out for the Lord and to the Lord, everybody knows that i am saved by my fruits and they ask me if I believe that the Messiah has come in the Flesh, I confess that He has come in the flesh

1jo 4:1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.1jo 4:2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:1jo 4:3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.1jo 4:4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

so most folks would agree That I was saved, but then I made a promise to someone, then something happened and I couldn't keep my promise, so I lied to my friend. then I go to (a walk away from your salvation church ) Church and the preacher says that I just lost my salvation, and unless I get saved again I will burn in Hell.

So play close attention to this, Balaaam had to learn the hard way and seems like most folks can't learn from others But God said

Nu 22:12And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed.

So for all you (walk away from your salvation people) The Point of this thread is not to get 1000 threads on how I can walk away from my salvation , But just simply to let you all know That I have believed with my Heart and have confessed with my mouth that God hath raised Jesus the Christ from the dead, I confess that Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the one that took away the sins from the world, has indeed come in the flesh, and to let you know that

    *I AM BLESSED*

so try and curse me if you can, but my prayer for you is that God will also send a donkey by and try to teach you that you can't curse what God has blessed
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Well that takes care of the blessing of life, but what about the other part?

    23For the wages of sin is death;

Can we say that even though the bible says what it does, it does not in fact mean that?

Your preacher is full of it. I'd be leaving that church, not only because of what he said, but because I'm sure you've probably heard a number of other heresies from the pulpit based on his belief that he expressed in your story here.

God put the curse under the blood when i made Him Lord Ex 12:13And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will PASS OVER you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

    Amen to this.
    And also consider this.
That the whole world is blessed.
For since the time of our birth God has been with us to bring about that blessing.

Can only those that are alive be covered in order obtain the blessing of life?

If you die and you are not covered can you still be covered?

    Thank you,

How can one that is physically dead gain the blessing of life?

Gods gift of grace is for the living not the dead. Once you have died physically you can not recieve the blessing of life, what is appointed for you though is judgment. Hebrews 9:27

Then again, if you are talking about the spiritual dead, yes they can gain Gods blessing if they repent.
    John 8:31-32

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
