Thread: I have been found innocent....

  1. #1

    I have been found innocent....

Recently my father accused me of "stealing" my late mothers good jewellery. He said he could understand that I could not resist the temptation, he even said he'd seen me wearing one of her rings......I never touched any of it.
Today one of my brothers was looking in a cupboard in my dads unit and guess what he found..........my mothers jewellery !!! Dad had believed for several weeks that I'd taken it, but only accused me about a week ago....I couldn't believe it. I was shattered to think he would think so low of me.
Last night I prayed sooo hard that when we visited his unit today...he doesn't live there anymore, we're just cleaning the place out...that the stuff would be found. All my siblings were witness to the things being found. My brothers cheered and my sister and I burst into tears with relief. None of them believed I'd taken it.

So I just want to PRAISE THE LORD...and thank Him for his mercy to me.
I don't hate my dad, I don't want to see him again, but I am just so happy that I have been proved innocent....which I knew I was all along.

I understand this; fretting over disappeared items happens many times in a bereavement situation. In our case the neighbour stole a load of Dad's tools from the garage, and Mum later saw them in his garage. In my friend's case, it was her uncle who stole the tools. Glad it's all been a misunderstanding in your family, and it's all sorted now.

I am praising the Lord that the truth came out. I am also praying that the Lord will use this situation to bring a healing that is much needed.

Hey Rocky... I'm very sorry that this happened to you, and I'm glad that you've been shown plainly to have been wronged.

I pray for both you and your father. Your father has obviously been irrational with grief... I don't know his medical or mental state, perhaps he's having problems with his memory. I pray that you can find it in yourself to forgive him for this unjust thing he accused you of, and that your loving example will be a witness to him, despite all the harm that the devil wanted to do to you both.

Lord God, in your mercy, bless this whole family... and bring healing to your children.

    Amen.
Please could everyone pray for Mieke and Charles.

Thank you....indeed I do not hate my father....I've never particularly liked him, but I have tried to love him. I think....love...is a bit strong a word for me to use towards him now, but I do still care for his welfare and I want him to be happy, but I just can't have him in my life anymore.

Hey I am so happy that this is now all cleared up...that had to be SO painful to be wrongfully accused of something like this...

    God bless
"People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson
