    Lightbulb Angel?? Devine??

    Hey,
I was given this book under unusual circumstances. I was in the book store getting ready to study using the bibles they have there (I do that sometimes) and I prayed and told God I would like a new Bible for Christmas. While sitting down reading a young man came over and spoke and sat down to read himself. After 30-45 mins the young man came over to me and gave me his Bible and a book by Dr. Ed Murphy titled Handbook For Spiritual Warfare. He had underlined a few significant passages and told me to read them and walked off leaving me with his bible and the book (which I purchased). I waited and studied for almost 2 hrs but he never came back and I could not find him. I know this was God answering my prayer, maybe more. What do you think? Angel?

praise the Lord, perhaps it was just a good obedient servant of God! Maybe you will bump into him later on.

Could have been an angel, i don't know... i have to be careful what i say.

    Possibility.

Reminds me of the instance at New Haven Baptist in Sheffield, OH some years back.

THe church was struggling, and at the end of a service, an Old Black man (that NOBODY saw come in) in the rear of the church stood up and said in a loud voice that the times of testing were over, and that God would send in people to the Church. HE then turned and walked out the rear doors of the sanctuary into the long hall that led to the front doors. He was followed immediately by the head usher who was also sitting on the back row, but the hall was empty, and the fellow hadn't had the time to get out the front doors.

And then people DID spontaneously start coming in to the church, and the finances improved tremendously, and the congregation grew, and folks were getting saved -

Pastor White's pretty sure that it was an "angelic visitation". I wasn't gonna argue with him, y'all!!

    Thanks everyone

Thank you everyone for your input! And Bob I do think that was an Angel in your church.

How about Hebrews 13:2 "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares"?

Judges 13:15-16 (KJV) - And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee. And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.

Wow, this really opened my eyes up to what Angels are doing around us. Both stories seem quite like angelic visitations. It begs the question of how many times my life has been affected by an angel unaware.

Sometimes men are moved by the spirit to do what is unusual in a man (care).
"Few men are born brave. Many become so through training and force of discipline"
    -Flavius Vegetius Renatus

"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." - James 2:26
