How come Theistic Evolution is a banned subject in CA?

I was reading through the rules and saw a peculiar notice under "Subjects Not Permitted." It said, "Theistic Evolution in any form will not be promoted in CA. All such posts will be deleted and may result in infractions being issued and posting privileges in this forum restricted."

This kinda shocked me, since I'm quite aware that A LOT of Christians prescribe to the theory of evolution. So, how come its not permitted?

For me it boils down to theological contradictions, for others scientific issues. Really, it's a touchy subject that shouldn't get in the way of one's believing (or not) in what Christianity teaches. It's not a salvation issue and rather than deal with hot heads (ouch)... It's better just to not discuss it. There are other forums that do discuss Theistic Evolution, but you wouldn't be eligible to post in those forums.

... As a very fundamental Christian what you were told about not going there is a very good thought to entertain.

You have to interpret the Bible more liberally to make it compatible with evolution theory.

Another reason Theistic Evolution is not permitted here is because it has always tended to generate a lot of moderator cleanup work where people start replying to each other instead of the original poster.
