God is merciful
I slipped into the lowest depths,
the weight of my sin,
my soul oppressed .
Jesus lifted me up,
my spirit eased.
I'm grateful for His love,
that He died for me.
The darkness has been cast,
into a watery grave.
The light now stands before me,
because of Him, I'm saved.
Rock bottom has become,
a distant memory.
Thanks be to God,
it has no hold on me.
