Invited to Preach?

I know that God has called me to perach, not as a pastor of a church but in evangelism. Some people may ask, "How do you know that you are called?" I know because when I talk to people about God, I can't get out of my mouth fast enough what God has put on my heart to say. I have felt this call for a couple of years and have been studying deeply over these couple of years while I was stationed over seas. I have recently moved back to the US and want to know, how do I get invited to preach in a church?

Evangelists belong where the lost are.
If you feel God has called you to call the lost sinners in the chruches to repentance then just do it, and dont expect much love for it.

I suggest you do most of your weeping and calling people to repentance towards God where ever you find lost souls, broken hearts and slaves to sin.

Main Street, college ave, buss stops, bar stools, coffee shops, ect.

Remember, speak about what God has established in your life (those words have power)

Guess that is why its called the living word, it must be alive in you.

Why evangelize the church?

The world is your pulpit. Go into the highways and byways and reach people where they are. Many will never set foot into a church, so how will they be reached?

Having said that, you may want to try finding a local congregation that has an outreach/evangelism ministry and plug yourself into it, so you can labor alongside others for the Kingdom. If you've really the call for it, then it would be excellent if you could help train others within the church, and learn from them, and to support one another in your endeavors.

I feel called to be an Evangelist as well. I ran from it for 7 years and now I'm back in it. First you want to get your theology degree because it will establish right away where you stand theologically. Most churches are afraid of a Preacher showing up and Preaching doctrine that they don't agree. Example there would be no way Joel Osteen would let me preach there because I'd Preach the all convicting truth that his prosperity preaching doesn't. Also find a denomination/home church to establish yourself at. Also, find out where a meeting or gathering of Pastors and stand up and introduce yourself.

Also, like the others said get in God's work pass out tracks, talk to people and write sermons. If you happen to have moved to the US and you are in Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas you could come to our church. We have about 6 of us that feel called to a ministry and we preach at each other every other saturday.
