1] Paul and Timothy, bond servants of Jesus Christ, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: 2] Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3] I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4] always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, 5] for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, 6] being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

To Finish or Not To Finish

Have you ever started something and not finished it? You had great intentions and motivation down the line, just lost interest? In te first few verses of Philippians, Paul makes a very amazing statement about God, "being confident of this. that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." When God starts something...He finishes it! The take home message is that God has started a work in us and He is not going to lose interest or be distracted. He started it and is going to finish what He has begun. What an opportunity we have to grow and become more like Christ.
