Mark 9:23-24 (King James Version)
23] Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 24] And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
The Words Of Our Lord: Guaranteed Accuracy
The distraught father’s faith was not perfect in this portion of Scripture, but he had enough faith to believe that our Lord could heal his son. When Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes,” the earnest cry came from this father’s heart: “Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.’’ With a promise like this one from our Lord, are we going to shrink away and wobble in our faith?
Maybe yes, at times, because our faith is not always perfect due to our carnal nature within. But we are never without strength, for our Lord Jesus Christ spoke and it was so. He makes all things possible and strengthens our faith by the presence of the Holy Spirit. We don’t have to live in the shadows.
FOR TODAY: Lord, I believe! Help my unbelief!
