Luke 9:29 (King James Version)

29] And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

Not Just A Reflection

Remember Moses' appearance when he came down from Mt. Sinai with the tablets of stone? He literally glowed from having been in the glorious presence of God. As Jesus prayed, a dazzling radiance came from His being (and even His clothing) as the three disciples looked on, but it was not a reflection of the light from God. It was THE LIGHT from God Himself -- God the Son. A small portion of glory of Jesus was revealed to the disciples as Jesus' transformation took place.

And they all got it this time. They would need that assurance of knowing Jesus as the Christ when they faced the challenges of going into all the world and making disciples.

FOR TODAY: Let others see the glory of Jesus in you.
