Arrow Are YOU telling people about Jesus?

I just was intrested in how many of us are telling people about Jesus when the opportunity occurs?

I have not been sharing about Jesus at all and I feel guilty about that...I mean how selfish of me to not share Jesus with ppl who need to hear about him!!! I am praying for more and more opportunities and boldness to share Jesus...how about you?

What holds you back? How can we overcome our fears?

For some reason I have a fear of what ppl will think about me if I tell them about Jesus...which is kinda odd because I am not really a shy person. This shyness about Jesus must be something the enemy has planted in me but there is no doubt I am going to get my shovel and up root that fear a.s.a.p. The world needs to hear about Jesus!!

Care to share??...together we can become stronger and better witnesses!!

If you are witnessing share how God has worked!

*sigh* I'm the same way. I WANT to share Jesus, but I have a few problems. 1. I don't get out much. Literally. I pretty much stay home. 2. I'm very self-conscious and I feel like I'd have nowhere to begin. How do I just walk up to some stranger on the street and say "Hey, do you know Jesus?" I'm not THAT bold and outgoing. Plus, when I do go out, I wanna get my stuff done and come home, not stop and chit-chat.

BUT, I pray that I can overcome these things, too. I see how much the world needs Jesus, and I feel guilty because I'm not going out and sharing Him.

Jesus needs to give me a good boot in the butt.
Why are you looking for love
Why are you still searching as if I'm not enough
To where will you go child
Tell me where will you run
    To where will you run

Very powerful question. One that I have been pondering these last few weeks. Right now with the economy the way it is, many Christians(including myself) are focusing on just getting by and how they are going to pay the bills. It is so easy to get off target.

Thanks for posting and I hope people take your question to heart.

I'm not afraid of what anybody will think of me. My problem is my sin, I feel like I can't be a good witness when my sin is out there, but i'm working on it and I'll still preach a little anyways. Hopefully I can reach out because my sins are out there,(i'm honest with everybody, i'm no better than anybody).....if that makes sense. Maybe if people can see my struggle, that will attract people, ya know what I mean. I'm not perfect and God still loves me and he will still work on me. Alot of people think that christians think that they are better than everybody else. If I can relate to other people(non-believers), than maybe I can reach more people effectevly.......(sorry about my spelling lol).....but you know what i mean.
I have made accomplishments in my walk so I try to focus on that, And tell them about it!
People tend to think that they are just going to hell anyway, so why bother.....they think it's too late. We do have alot to do here....it is our duty to save souls.

I tell people about what the Lord Jesus has done for me every chance I get. I don't let my personal flaws get in the way because I have come such a long way since he began dealing with me. I'm like, "well you should have seen me THEN!"
Lord, one thing I ask...use me for your glory.

You and I are in the same boat and we shall overcome it 100% Are you praying daily askingand believeing God will get you over this hurdle?? I am daily asking and when easy opportunities come my way even if its a simple Jesus loves you I will be boosting up my witnessing skills. I have been blesse twice with strangers outside my church asking me to pray for them and I have had the time to witness or point them to someone more qualified then I....and boy did I feel great!

Pray God gives you small opportunities! he will he has done it for me

There are other ways you can witness that avoid those problems. Buy $20 worth of Bible tracts and start leaving them in creative places where people will find them. Next time you are in the drive thru line at a fast food restuarant pay for the person behind you in line and leave the cashier a bible tract to give that customer when they tell them their order was already paid. (I have never had a cashier refuse to do this). Get some people from Church and set up a free car wash in a large parking lot. (get permission from the strip mall first!). I'm suggesting the type of car wash you see High School kids doing as fundraisers. Make sure you let everyone who gets a wash know the Church which is providing the service and give everyone a Bible tract. These are just a few of the imaginitive ways you can witness without having to approach someone one-on-one if that is itimidating to you. I'm sure you can think of many more.

    Not as I should.

I do talk to people online, and I leave tracts all over the place, like ATMs and phone booths, and in stores, etc.

I've answered questions about God asked by coworkers and people who are just 'there', nearby. I used to go door to door with others in my church, but haven't done that in a while.

It does work, though, and the Lord will give you the words to say and the boldness to say them. Don't let the enemy cause you to not speak out, don't be ashamed of our Lord.

If nothing else, give your testimony, how the Lord has changed you or worked in your life.

Several years ago I was posting on a secular message board, in which we'd often get into heated debates about God and religion. There was one young man who had the head knowledge of salvation, but hadn't made the step into asking Jesus to save him. We became friendly, and spoke at length.

One day he sent me a message, and stated that he'd given himself to the Lord while on an airplane flight! I was so excited for him. Later, he told me that one of the reasons he made that step and accepted Christ was my unwavering and stedfast faith in God and His word, the Bible!!

Within a year, that young man was dead. I know I will meet him, sometime, when I get to Heaven.

So, don't doubt that just standing your ground, or giving your testimony works, it does. Follow as the Lord leads.
If the Book be not infallible, where shall we find infallibility? ... Are these correctors of Scriptures infallible? Is it certain that our Bibles are not right, but that the critics must be so? ... We shall gradually be so bedoubted and be criticized that only a few of the most profound will know what is Bible and what is not, and they will dictate to the rest of us. I have no more faith in their mercy than in their accuracy... and we are fully assured that our old English version of the Scriptures is sufficient for plain men for all purposes of life, salvation, and goodness. - C.H.Spurgeon

When the opportunity arises I tell people about My Redeemer and Deliverer... Jesus the Christ.. God manifest in the flesh...usually the Holy Ghost will prompt me to start.. He'll do that in my inner man.. my ears being quickened to whats being said on the other side... by the person asking or questioning... If that happens then I know God is in control and He has brought that person my way so that I can witness to them or explain things to them... I'm not forcing the Good News down peoples throat...

I see Him who is Invisible and Understand that all that happens in my daily life and routine.. He knows and is in control of.. and especially when it comes to telling people about what His Son Did on that Bloody Tree.. being crucified and Raised from the Dead...

I'm not only telling people about Jesus ..but I'm telling them about His Soon Return from Heaven...

that He is Coming Back just like He Promised... and you will witness it...

I usually make it a point to tell them that man in all his power can attmept to build the kingdom of heaven on this earth on his own power and wisdom... but it will fail.. because the Real King and Kingdom is returning .... Soon...

Take heart, be of good courage, Look up.. for your redemption draweth nigh...
Many appear Righteous and Just because they say 'yes' to Jesus Christ , yet they don't do His Will.

That same thought has been ringing in my mind also! So many ppl are caught up in this economy and jobs being lost.. but if we have given our lives to Jesus I trust should be in him 100% although everything around us is failing and falling apart our absolute trust should be in Jesus Christ.

He PROMISED to supply ALL our needs

I would not tell people Jesus is coming in their life time...they have been hearing that for hundreds of years and all those that heard it before are now dead. Even Jesus said no one know the day or hour...

When we meet people we have no idea how long they may live. My grandmother died expecting to see Jesus return. I think the most important thing in sharing is the basic gospel message...and the freedom of no longer being trapped in sin. So many are trapped in sin and cannot free themselves. With Christ they can. And in these hard time He is a rock for them to hang onto also. Someone loves them and does care what they are going through. Its through difficult times people find God...when everything else has become sand beneath their feet. When everything they hung onto melts away. That is what they need to hear the most right now...I think.

I don't do the walking up to people and telling them either...I don't think we are always meant to do that unless you feel God is directing you to a certain person. Usually an opportunity comes up..watch for those like in the examples fuzzi gave.

    God Bless
"People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson

I have heard some say that this scipture only refers to the unsaved.....I disagree I think it applies to us all. If we are all caught up in this world our finances, jobs, kids, house, pets whatever we have in our life that we put before God if he comes back and we are caught with our houses out of order.... God Forbid!

So we must keep God the head of EVERY situation although it is tough.
