What do you think of this Youtube vid on "wives submit"...

Sometimes Youtube has some really unwholesome pics on the sidelines, but so far anyway, there aren't any with this vid.

Acts 21 Now they have been informed about you that you continually teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to turn back from and forsake Moses...Therefore do just what we tell you. With us are 4 men who have taken a vow upon themselves. Take these men and purify yourself along with them and pay their expenses [for a temple offering],...Thus everybody will know that there is no truth in what they have been told about you, but that you yourself walk in observance of the Law of Moses.

I loove the end of this sermon. I also totally agree that abuse is wrong. I have a little problem with some of the interpretations. only due to other Scriptures and stories. but neat presentation.

I liked it! Amazing when you think of the command that men love wives as Jesus loves the church. That is a much more difficult command then to "be led" by your husband!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
    Proverbs 3:5

My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgements come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.
    Isaiah 26:9

Ok I watched it and well I had a hard time understanding everything he was saying because the music was too loud. Wish he would have had that lower in the background. From what I did hear it was good. But could someone tell me what he said in more detail? Thanks.

I think its truly sad that some have misunderstood that passage and think abusing their wives in any way is ok. There are other passages in the bible that say abusers will not inherit the kingdom of God. How can anyone even read through the NT and think Christ would approve of husbands abusing their wife at all? That is what gets me...its like a complete lack of understanding of who Jesus and God are...

    God bless
"People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson

Yeal, I found that music to be distracting too. I had to listen to the video twice. Basically he is saying that the Greek word from which "submit" is translated is not really understood. I have to do some reseach myself on what he is saying.

There is another verse in Scriptures that says if men are not considerate of their wives, then their prayers will not be answered, so of course we know that Abba does not want us to be in any way abused. After all, we are His daughters, children His Son died such a horrible death for! "Neither male nor female".

Ok I posted on his video and asked him to put in the description area what he was saying for those of us that had a hard time understanding him. Hopefully he will.
