    Should we Respect devil Fallen Angels?

    Having been thinking about this today; are we as christains; ment to Respect the devil 'fallen angels and demons?
    Does that sound strange to you?

    If someone walked up to you today on the street and said do you respect them? what would you say? how would you react to someone saying that to you out of the blue?

    Could you answer them in a instant? Sure we can with the Holy Spirit. Because if we don't disrespect them that means we respect them?

    I recall God showing respect to the devil when God spoke to him;
    When God would say that there is none like job; God would speak to the devil on a professional level.
    That's because God is God and he perfect.

    Its just a question why should we Respect them?
    How do you view it? and to explain the why question?
    Is it about being a grown up that we have respect for the devil demons and fallen angels?

    Is it because devil and fallens angels are God creation; because of that we are ment not to be childish but to respect them cause they was created by God.

    Does it mean if we dont respect them we don't respect God creation?

    Does this all make sence?

    How are we ment to respect them?

    If you look at the young people of today; they dont respect them; even young christains; are churches doing all that they should to explain to them?

    I am not refering to humans' but devil fallen angels and demons.
    Its a thought for thought you know?

    Yours Peter

    Things of Satan are a stumbling block to man, stay away from them.
    Fenris: "There are two ways to shoot an arrow into a bulls-eye You can shoot the arrow into the bulls-eye or you can shoot the arrow and paint the bulls-eye wherever it hits"

    Romans 12:19 Don't seek revenge ... give place to God's wrath. For it is written "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord"

    Isa. 30:32
    And every blow of the rod of punishment, which the Lord will lay on him, will be with the music of tambourines and lyres; And in battles, brandishing weapons, He will fight them

    G_d was gracious He has shown favor

    What are you willing to die for? Now live for it!

    Peter is this related to your laughing and mocking Fallen Angels & demons poll? There is a difference between not mocking and showing respect. It is not clear what you mean by 'respect' in reference to Satan and Fallen Angels. When I look up the word 'respect' I find these definitions:

    Definition: To take notice of; to regard with special attention; to regard as worthy of special consideration; hence to care for; to heed. To consider worthy of esteem; to regard with honor.

    With that definition I would have to vote absolutely not. And what do you mean by 'Yes, biblically speaking'?

    "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

    2 Corinthians 12:9-10

    This is diffent; i am kinda finding this hard to explain;

    I dont mean the definition you gave me;

    What iam trying to refer to is to respect them on a professional level as grown ups.

    We have are job to do in this world; and they have there job; they dont have to be in this world; but they are here' we go about are business being with God saving people that they are trying to lie to.

    What they are doing here is wrong; yet they are here.

    Does that make sence?

    I though there might be a verse.

    As in professional regard or respect? Being polite?

    Maybe professional regard would sound better? Something like when we work with people in the real world; who we might not like in the work place; but we have to work showing professional regard and in front of other people.
    Otherwise for both situations fallen angels or people it would make us look silly ,childish unprofessional in front of other people if we did not.

    Do you see what i mean now?

    Yes, I think I do. But that would mean we have a relationship (business or otherwise) with Satan and Fallen Angels. As children of God we do not.

    No, we are not to respect Satan or his demons. They are not God's creation. They are perversion of God's creation. There is a huge difference. Satan is defeated. His demons are defeated. They are all under our feet. We must deal with them at a practical ministry level, but we are not to respect them. We are to be aware that if we are lax, they have the ability to harm us, but we are not to fear or respect them. Why do you feel that you should "respect" pure evil? I guess I am missing something.

    Respect the fact that they are evil and can cause you to stumble and sin. Do not engage them. They are more powerful than you are in your flesh. Take all thoughts captive to the Lord, and allow Him to fight those battles. We are told to stand firm, fully clothed in the armor of God.

    They rebelled against the Most Holy God! They hate God's children. That should be enough for us to know to stay far away.

    God created satan; but was called something diffent then.
    satan did not create himself; why do you think that and no one created him.

    You should respect them in the sense you would 'respect' someone holding a gun to your head. Or like you would with a snarling wolf threatening to tear you apart. In these instances there are certain things you don't do. You don't taunt, you don't speak to them, you know you are in danger, so you don't mess around!

    1 Peter 5:8
    Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

    You don't pretend they aren't there, you don't poo hoo them off like far too many Christians do. You are aware of the danger at all times...its like respecting fire in a way. Don't 'play with fire'. You don't put yourself in harms way. Only in that sense is there respect. See what I mean? It just means you should take the devil, fallen angels seriously....and avoid them at all costs like you would avoid a person with a gun, a dangerous wolf and an out control fire.

    James 4:7
    So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

    So I think the better word here to avoid confusion would be to say you take them seriously.

    God bless
    "People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson

    Thank you Moonglow I have been trying to think of a way to say that because respect can be used several ways with different meanings. I always first think 'honor' when I hear respect.

    I have a healthy respect for the dangers of Satan and fallen angels. The danger of them, not themselves so much.

    Yea it is kind of confusing. Glad I was a help!
