    Spirits

    I have a question.
Lets say that you have a friend and she is struggling with the spirit of LUST can that spirit of lust pass onto someone else that, that person is hanging around?

    Shaniesa,
If you have a friend that is being lustful and subsequently you become lustful, it is not because a spirit has infected you, it is because Satan has seen an opening and has decided to attack.
I don't believe in a "spirit" of lust. I do believe that if you hang around with people that are lustful, and you ignore their behavior, then you are basically disobeying God and the Devil will use that to his advantage.
Evil Spirits cannot occupy the body of believers. Where the Holy Spirit indwells, darkness cannot. Of course, we don't need evil spirits, because we are wicked enough without them. I hope this is an answer that was helpful, I didn't completely understand your question.

    Blessings

I agree, the Bible tells us that lust is of the flesh. This means that we are all tempted by lust from within ourselves. There does not have to be a "spirit of lust" for us to be lead astray into lustful thoughts or actions.

If we spend much time entertaining the thoughts of lust, the actions will probably follow so beware. Flee from lust!

Ga 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

It is my understanding that evil cannot possess us. However, given an open door it can oppress us. That why we as christians need to be obedient to gods word and never give the opportunity for those evil/bad spirits to find a crack in. The church that attend for the past 3 weeks has been discussing demonic activity at bible study teaching. Thats why it is important for us to watch the company that we keep. No that lust wont jump on you. However, if we take our focus off of god and start to spend more time in the world we may become weak and vulnerable. The devil loves to catch us slipping when we are tired and weak.
