So one of my friends is married to an English woman and she sent me some pictures of a traditional English breakfast. Suffice it to say, after seeing such pictures it only enhanced my pride in my own nationality (American) and location in America (the South - where true food is found).

Anyway, to all those from that area of the world, does the food taste better than it looks? I just can't imagine having a better breakfast than biscuits, hashbrowns, sausage, all smothered in country-style gravy, and a nice cold sweet tea.

Looking at the English breakfast...well...just didn't seem appealing.

I mean, let's just compare off pictures here:

English:

What is the black stuff? What is the orange stuff on the right? What is that pink stuff on the right, raw flesh?

Now THAT is a breakfast.

Of course, in America there are various styles of what is "traditional" - anything from omelets, to oatmeal, to grits, to pancakes, to waffles. But still, a good hearty breakfast will include some assortment of the above (or all of the above).

(Hope everyone realizes this is in good fun - a lot of this is coming up from discussing which country has the best food with my friend's wife. She said America only copies everything in the world, which is why my friend and I concluded we have the best food; you can get whatever you want here).
