    What's your favorite snack food?

    With the "English Food" and the "Movie Thread" in mind, what's your favorite snack food? Mine are:

    1) Cheetos
    2) Hostess cupcakes (That includes any of them ).
    3) Donuts
    4) Ok since I better make it look somewhat healthy Oranges and apples.
    5) Atomic Fireballs

    That ought to do for now.

    Honestly right now... Carrots. My wife keeps telling me I'm going to turn into a rabbit. But I've also been known to graze on...

    - Crackers and babaganouj
    - Nachos with melted mild cheddar cheese
    - Nachos with my patent pending uber-guacamole (if I want to take the hour to make it)
    - Bread with a dipping plate of olive oil and balsamic vinegar

    Lately?

    Flour tortilla with some lunchmeat and cheddar nuked for 30 seconds, plus medium chunky salsa.

    Nobody knows why ... probably because it's there, and not right out of a bag loaded with carbs. I suppose it's somewhat healthy.

    I also love yogurt. And honey roasted peanuts (not together).

    Sometimes I'll zap a big plate of pepperoni slices in the microwave, until they're very crisp (letting the grease soak into paper towels), and eat them like bacon.

    I also like raw cauliflower.

    But my primary snack food of choice is sunflower seeds. I eat those things for hours.....

    Nachos with melted cheddar cheese and salsa;
    Plain ripple potato chips with sour cream and onion dip;
    Popcorn.
    It is only the cynic who claims “to speak the truth” at all times and in all places to all men in the same way, but who, in fact, displays nothing but a lifeless image of the truth… He dons the halo of the fanatical devotee of truth who can make no allowance for human weaknesses; but, in fact, he is destroying the living truth between men. He wounds shame, desecrates mystery, breaks confidence, betrays the community in which he lives, and laughs arrogantly at the devastation he has wrought and at the human weakness which “cannot bear the truth”. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, in Ethics.

    Hummous and pitta bread... hummm.

    Ooh, and bananas and grapes, and soaked almonds...

    I used to eat a lot more fruit and salad, before my poor teeth lost their fillings, and the UK dental system let me down.

    Right now, any food that won't get stuck in my teeth is grand.
    Please could everyone pray for Mieke and Charles.

    Daughter, a middle eastern food place downtown has THE best hummous and pita bread... They make it with this excellent spice and a little oil added... and you can buy a container of the hummous and they'll toss in 3 or 4 pitas. Excellent!
