    Christian Scientologists? (moved from AG)

    The Scientology website says that some of its members are Christian; however, based on their beliefs, I'd say that would have to either be wrong or the so called "Christians" aren't so.

    No man can serve two masters. We either serve Christ or we don't -- and if we're caught up in scientology, our focus is not on Christ. Scientology's a false set up on several levels. If there are scientologists who call themselves Christians, then I'd ask them who and what they serve, and why. I'd have a dialogue with them to show them that what they were involved in was damaging to their soul and their relationship with Christ. I'd share and discuss the gospel with them. If they really were Christians.... they'd need to do a U-Turn, and I thank God that He allows and facilitates those!

    But let's face it. Not everyone who considers themselves Christian is a Christian. We can sit in a garage; it won't make us become an automobile. We can call ourselves something by vague association, too.... and it doesn't make it so -- like when people say "oh, I'm a Christian because everyone in my family goes to church and I got baptized when I was a baby". Until you've accepted Jesus, repented and turned to Him..... you're still on your way to Him.
    -- Your ~sister~ in Christ.... a "Kaffinated Kittykat"!!

    ROMANS 5:8. Forgiven. Freed. Humbled. Amazed. Grateful. Relying on Christ.

    Love is not a place to come and go as we please
    It's a house we enter in, then commit to never leave
    So lock the door behind you, and throw away the key
    We'll work it out together, let it bring us to our knees.....

    Moving this to World Religions...
    1Jn 4:1 NKJV Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

    1Th 5:21-22 NKJV Test all things; hold fast what is good. (22) Abstain from every form of evil.

    I don't see how its true unless, as you stated, the people involved are paying lip service to one side.

    The reason is its two utterly different ideas on the creation of man, the character of man, the state of man's soul, eternity, God, sin, salvation, and righteousness. The don't align on ANY of those concepts, so how could someone believe both sides?

    Maybe they just think God created Xenu, too?
    The minstrel boy to the war is gone,
    In the ranks of death ye will find him;
    His father's sword he hath girded on,
    And his wild harp slung behind him;
    "Land of Song!" said the warrior bard,
    "Tho' all the world betray thee,
    One sword, at least, thy rights shall guard,
    One faithful harp shall praise thee!

    That's what I figure they believe. But assuming Xenu is real means introducing contradictory beliefs on man, sin, creation, salvation... pretty much everything.

    I've noticed that the $cientologists have started putting up a variety of web adds lately to try and attract new members. Sure, some say that they are Christian. It's all smooth advertising.

    Remember, these people are the masters of manipulation. Google Lisa McPherson to find out what $cientology really is!

    I've seen a lot of the Scientology stories and watched the Anonymous protests. Crazy stuff.

    Many sources claim that Scientology was partially based on Thelema, which was the religion/system of magick co-invented by Aleister Crowley and his wife.

    THAT kind of says something right there...
