    What is God's Glory like?

    I mean it's coming right?
What do you think its like?
Isa 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
Hab 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

This is being fulfilled with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the gentiles, and finally there will be an outpouring of the Spirit on the Jews in last time.

More than enough to kill you! I mean that in a good way.
9For zeal for Your house has consumed me,
And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.
    Psalm 69:9

4 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
    James 4:4

19 You believe that God is one You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder
    James 2:19

"5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Genesis 6:5

Exodus defines God's glory for us. I do not believe, however, that it is limited to this single expression.

Exodus 33:18-23 "And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen."

    Therefore, God's glory is His:
    (1) tangible goodness (made manifest)
    (2) name (i.e. character)
    (3) face (one of the Hebrew words for "glory" or "presence" literally means, "a turning of the face towards").

I find it AWESOME that Moses' whole countenace changed just from seeing God's "back parts" (in Hebrew: "afterglow"):

Exodus 34:29-33 "And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them. And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai. And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face."

Imagine what will happen when we see Him face to face! HALLELUJAH!
"Unto you therefore which believe, He is precious" (1 Peter 2:7)

'2Sa 6:12 The blessing of the Lord is on the family of Obed-edom and on all he has, because of the ark of God."
If the glory in the old testament was so great, how much more the Glory
    coming from the Cross.
    Get ready, its coming,
Psa 32:2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
Psa 34:10 The young lions are in need and have no food; but those who are looking to the Lord will have every good thing.

Taken from stanza #3 of WHEN I SURVEY THE WONDROUS CROSS

See, from his head, his hands, his feet,
sorrow and love flow mingled down.
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,
or thorns compose so rich a crown.

That is as much of His glory as I need this side of glory.

Rom 5:2 Through whom, in the same way, we have been able by faith to come to this grace in which we now are; and let us have joy in hope of the glory of God.
Rom 2:7 To those who go on with good works in the hope of glory and honour and salvation from death, he will give eternal life:
Eph 1:18 And that having the eyes of your heart full of light, you may have knowledge of what is the hope of his purpose, what is the wealth of the glory of his heritage in the saints,
Col 1:27 Christ in you, the hope of glory:
1Th 2:19 For what is our hope or joy or crown of glory? Are not even you, before our Lord Jesus, at his coming?

Isaiah 6:1-8 is an indication of God's great glory that Isaiah saw.

The seraphim covered their face and feet in an act of humility before Him. The foundations of the thresholds (probably of the Temple) trembled at the sound of His voice and the Temple was filled with smoke. Isaiah realized the gulf between God and Himself and cried out, "Woe is me, for I am ruined!"

God on His throne is a picture of holiness, grace and power.

    Blessings,
    BHS
