    Grandma's funeral tomorrow

If I could ask for a quick prayer, I'll thank you for praying. Her funeral's tomorrow, and we have people traveling from a few hours away, and one person flying in from Europe.... so a prayer for safety for everyone would be great. And also, for us to just cope with this as best we can..... younger kids and older people, we're all missing her so much. My mom's torn up, and so am I and so's my grandfather.... we were the closest to her in the family. We'll never fully know if she ever gave Christ a chance, so we just have to trust His mercy. We know how much pain she was in, physically.... and at least that's gone.

    Thanks for the prayers.

Offering up a prayer for coffee cats family. That they travel safely and are comforted by you in thier time of grief.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

Of course I will be praying too for the safety of everyone and that the Lord comforts them also...

"People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson

I figured I'd update this. As funerals go... it was a nice one, if it's possible for one to be nice. If a funeral can bring in good memories, and can include some laughter with the tears, then I figure it wasn't bad, anyways. A few of us spoke and told stories or shared memories, some favourite music was played, and everyone arrived safely and then traveled home safely.

    Thank you all for praying.

Sounds like a "good" funeral to me....... I'm glad you got through it well....... My grandma died about 12 years ago and I still miss her a lot....... but it's not as raw anymore as it used to be........
Just remember my friend, I'm here if you need to talk.....

    Love you lots,

I missed this posting. I will pray however that the Lord would comfort you in the days ahead.

    I'm sorry about your Grandma.
