Why, Is your husband going to be in need of one?
Why do you think you are going to die tomorrow?
If you die, what on earth will we do for a plant pathologist?
What is a plant pathologist?![]()

For what mortal has ever heard the voice of the living God speaking out of fire, as we have, and survived? ~ Deuteronomy 5:26
If you're not prepared to risk your very life for your "enemy" you have no right to speak to him of love. ~ Daughter
Many say they are called... but I am pretty convinced that with many of them it was the wrong number. ~ Project Peter
Did you hear about the agnostic, skeptical insomniac?
He stayed up all night trying to decide if there really was a dog!
I read a similar one in Readers Digest...
My favorite scripture: Malachi 3:16
"Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name!" (Every time we speak of the Lord, or even THINK of him--its written down in a book of remembrance!)
Lord, now let your servant depart in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation.

It is only the cynic who claims “to speak the truth” at all times and in all places to all men in the same way, but who, in fact, displays nothing but a lifeless image of the truth… He dons the halo of the fanatical devotee of truth who can make no allowance for human weaknesses; but, in fact, he is destroying the living truth between men. He wounds shame, desecrates mystery, breaks confidence, betrays the community in which he lives, and laughs arrogantly at the devastation he has wrought and at the human weakness which “cannot bear the truth”. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, in Ethics.
BTW, thank you for understanding about my earlier mod message. Tango has a thick skin and understands the jokes but some of our members might not. (PS. I hope everyone understands that I never meant to imply that any potential insult was intentional).

Did you hear about the dyslexic who was diagnosed with manic depression? Yea, he tried to commit suicide and threw himself behind a bus.
I had a job at the orange juice factory but I got fired because I couldn't concentrate...

It takes V hours to take a shower. When she washes her hair, she follows the directions... Lather, rinse, repeat. The only way she gets done is when she runs out of shampoo.

Vhayes Did you hear about the dyslexic who was diagnosed with manic depression? Yea, he tried to commit suicide and threw himself behind a bus.I admit as a dyslexic I do do things backwards but I don't think I would mess that one up...not that I want to try it to find out though!

"People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson
Please don't tempt me to make jokes about imbeciles again...oooh, so hard to resist...
