President Barack Obama has concluded that Israel and the Palestinians are unlikely to achieve peace unless they're under external pressure to make the requisite compromises. Believing that a two-state solution is in the best interests of both parties and that time is running out for such a solution, the President is stepping up the pressure on both sides. That was Obama's message at a White House meeting on July 13 with representatives of leading Jewish-American organizations, some of whom have lately complained that the President is unfairly pressuring Israel to make concessions on West Bank settlements, while going easy on the Palestinians.

California State University campuses will not accept nearly all student applications for the 2010 spring term due to budget reductions, the 23-college system announced.

In addition, officials said that campuses on the quarter system have stopped accepting admission applications for the 2010 winter term.

Israel and the US will hold a joint test of the Arrow missile over the Pacific Ocean in what will be the first trial of the system with a target with a range of more than 1,000 kilometers, further than the test sites over the Mediterranean could allow.

According to a US defense official quoted by Reuters, the test, which will take place sometime in the coming days off of the coast of central California, will be the third trial of the Arrow conducted by Israel in the United States. He said the Federal Aviation Administration had warned aircraft to stay clear of the area.

I think the US is still mostly a God fearing nation. But those opposed to Jesus are gaining and may have hit a critical mass, where enough of them are in positions of power to control the US destiny. Meaning to lead it off the cliff into the abyss.

I have never been that impressed by prototype military robots. They look cool, but they are really noisy, are difficult and expensive to maintain, and require lots of heavy batteries or frequent refueling.

This one caught my attention. It gets energy from "biomass" meaning it can burn anything, even dead bodies for fuel. It could operate for months or years feeding on bodies. It has an acronym: EATR.

Heaven forbid it should come upon someone sleeping.

As soon as we get a new currency, which will most likely be in the next half decade in my opinion.

I would almost guarantee when the dollar goes, any signs of God on currency goes as well.

I like it when God does something that baffles scientists. Science seems so full of pride these days. We think we understand this universe, but I think we hardly have a clue.

I'm also on the lookout for strange physical happenings that might indicate God is up to something.

Interesting news from the town of Homer alaska:

Like a giant fist punching through the earth, a 1,000-foot long section of the beach below Bluff Point rose up 20 feet from the tidelands sometime last Friday or late Thursday, pushing boulders up from the ocean bottom, cracking sandstone slabs and toppling rocks upside down.

It would take an earthquake over magnitude 7 to cause an uplift that high, said Peter Haeussler, a geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey in Anchorage.

Washington - President Barack Obama achieved a milestone on Wednesday when a Senate committee approved a plan to revamp the US health care system.

The Senate panel's action, which attracted no Republican votes, came as the president's campaign organisation rolled out television ads to build support for his top domestic priority.

Obama met with Republicans at the White House in search of an elusive bipartisan compromise on his call to expand coverage to the nearly 50 million uninsured Americans as well as restrain spending increases in health care.

Unlike other developed nations, the United States does not have a comprehensive national health care programme for all its citizens.
