Music fans: Country or Classic Rock,or Bluegrass?

I'm a classic rock guy, always have.Even though I try to listen to comtempary Christian music,I can't get into the new stuff.I like Phil Keaggy and Rich Mullens, and a few more.Ok,I do like Third Day,guitar bands. I'm a guitar player, and most of my influences come from the 60's and 70's.Guys like Eric Clapton,George Harrison,Neil Young, etc.I can listen to old country, but I hate the newer stuff. Is this just me? lol! Anyway, what kind of music you all listen to?

Pretty much mostly rock, and many forms of it for me. From classic to various forms of metal to more pop-stuff. Probably my favourite group long term has been Van Halen (both Roth and Hagar versions).

Never was a big fan of country; probably from growing up in the city.
It is only the cynic who claims “to speak the truth” at all times and in all places to all men in the same way, but who, in fact, displays nothing but a lifeless image of the truth… He dons the halo of the fanatical devotee of truth who can make no allowance for human weaknesses; but, in fact, he is destroying the living truth between men. He wounds shame, desecrates mystery, breaks confidence, betrays the community in which he lives, and laughs arrogantly at the devastation he has wrought and at the human weakness which “cannot bear the truth”. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, in Ethics.

Classic Rock for me. Country doesn't usually do it for me... but I have been accused of doing a very good rendition of "Six Days on the Road"... if you like your country old school.

Being the country boy that I am, I like country music prior to around 1996. Today's stuff is absolutely horrible, in my humble opinion. I also like classic rock and some modern alternative, although I prefer the stuff from the 90's.

In Christian music, there is music to satisfy everyone's taste. From classic rock(ballads and such) to Bluegrass and country to Rap and R&B to Heavy metal and hard rock.

My favorite is hard rock or metal(Christian of course). However, I was brought up on country, went to many a bluegrass festival as a kid, and gradually grew into my favorite of the 3 choices-classic rock

Saturday at the Tea Party in Lufkin, Texas there was a wide variety of music. My wife was really enjoying the blues singer who played the French Harp (harmonica) while playing the guitar. (She is more rounded that i am toward music i guess, she tapped her foot and bobbed her head with all the groups).

Then there was a great bluegrass group (old big base, pickin' stick, banjo, couple of guitars) that sang some old songs and even a guy who did a great resortation (spelled wrong i'm sure) of the old flag over the courthouse.

I was impressed that most of the groups were Christian and proud of it
