2 Peter 1:21 (King James Version)
21] For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
God, The Great Communicator
Nearly 4,000 times in the Old Testament we find phrases like “the Lord spoke” or “the Lord said.” In the New Testament, John 1:1 calls our Lord “the Word.” “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” When you and I communicate with one another, we use words to do it. In the New Testament, Jesus Christ preached for more than three years in order to communicate with those around Him. The Holy Spirit led godly men to record His words so you and I can have them in hand today. God surely is the ‘Great Communicator.’ He is not a thing or power or influence. He thinks and feels in ways that show Him to be a living personal Being. And He wants to talk to us today.
FOR TODAY: Tell God how much you love Him. Then wait for His reply.
