The minstrel boy to the war is gone,
In the ranks of death ye will find him;
His father's sword he hath girded on,
And his wild harp slung behind him;
"Land of Song!" said the warrior bard,
"Tho' all the world betray thee,
One sword, at least, thy rights shall guard,
One faithful harp shall praise thee!
All right... gunporn my favorite!
Nice 98, where did you find one in that good of shape?
What's that finger doing on the trigger there soldier?![]()

It's the 1911PD (Gunsite edition).
It's a little break free squeezing out. (after I engaged the safety)(unloaded btw)
Funny I didn't notice it sitting there, but the flash really picked it up.
I love it. It shoots like butter. Shooting reloads or factory, I have yet to have a malfunction. It has the brass bead combat sight, so shooting quickly is really easy. Not worth a darn in the dark, but as long as there is a little bit of light, you do pretty well. I have the 5 inch stainless version also, and it also is excellent. I've shot Kimbers and Springfields and the only one I liked better was the TRP. And it was so close I decided to keep the extra thousand dollars and buy another S&W.

To be honest, I do not know what all I have. I have 4 safes full of weapons that I go into once every few years to lightly oil them. I have one safe that is full of what I actually shoot. I have guns scattered around 3 houses that wont fit in the safe. Guess I need to buy another safe.
My favorite handgun is my CZ75 SP01 Shadow custom built by Angus Hobdell. My favorite rifle is my Armalite AR-30chambered in .338 Lapua.
Have a lot of 1911's. A Colt Delta Elite, customized by a gunsmith who left Wilson, is my favorite 1911. Have some very old Colt Single action pistols. They are in cosmoline and in my safe deposit box. Have not seen them in years so do not remember exactly what they are. I have a S&W .44 mag that has Elmer Keith's picture gold inlaid on it. I always have a Kel-tec .380 in my pocket. I carry a SW 5906 on duty. Have a FN Five Seven that is kind of neat. Have several custom built benchrest rifles. 6ppc, 6br remington, 30br remington, 6X47, and a couple of .222mags. Just bought a CZ75 SP01 phanton a couple of weeks ago. Must say that CZ as usual built an awesome weapon. Have several Glocks. I am not a big fan of them. They are inherently inaccurate.
Here are a few. I don't carry these.
Luger, 1920 (.30 Luger)
Luger, Artillery, 1917 (9mm)
Mauser C96 Broomhandle (.30 Mauser)
Walther P38 x2 1943 (9mm)
Steyr Mannlicher 1905 (7.63mm Mannlicher)
M1 carbine, 1944
Lee Enfield No. 4 Mk 1 (Long Branch, 1950)
Makarov, Soviet, 1976 (9mm Mak)
The Mannlicher is probably my fav for style. They just don't make handguns with style and lines like this anymore.

To preserve the government we must also preserve morals. Morality rests on religion; if you destroy the foundation, the superstructure must fall. When the public mind becomes vitiated and corrupt, laws are a nullity and constitutions are waste paper. Daniel Webster, 4th of July, 1800, Oration at Hanover, N.H.
I recently bought my first firearm. A cz 75b 9mm pistol, and I love it. I've been too busy to shoot it so far, but I gotta admit I love the way it feels in my hands. Thank God I live in the great state of Texas.
My friend just bought his first gun too. A 22 caliber six shooter. I forget the company but it looks nice.
Let's see here,
STAG Mod 1 (M-4 semi auto) 5.56mm Nato...I love shooting this one...brings back the "Old Days"I'd recommend STAG to anyone! Quality and accuracy is outstanding!
Mossberg 500 .12ga
Colt Combat Commander MK 4 Series 80 .45 Cal stainless
Ballester Molina .22 (Factory converted from .45)...Interesting piece. It's stamped with "Buenos Aires Police" (in Spanish) on the slide.
Ruger Security Six .357 Mag with a 6"bbl...this one is super accurate.
And one you don't see too often:
Chilean Modelo 1912 (and all numbers match!) 7 x 57mm large ring Mauser. Even after almost 100 years this one's a "Tack Driver".
Sure am glad I left the People's Republic of Kalifornia so many yeas ago!
(Now if only I could find some .45 ammo at a reasonable price...)
