    Body breaking down!

I'm not a young man anymore and I'm about to start working with some hard, physical labor. Please pray for me so that I could get by during these tough times until I could get my job with benefits which will come within a year or so. I'd be able to see a doctor once I get my benefits, not that I need one now, but one trip to the hospital and I'm toast financially. My knees, back, and shoulders are giving out on me almost daily now and I'm getting nervous. I ask for your prayers to mend this aging body so that I could work hard and keep a roof over my head. Thank you, brothers and sisters in Christ.

What you talking about age......it's just a number!!! Look at Methuslah..969 yrs. old...now that's old!!! I'm just trying to lighten your spirit cause our God, Creator of Heaven and earth says HE WILL take care of all your needs...HE also says, I WILL NEVER leave nor forsak you...then HE says those who wait upon the Lord SHALL renew their strength and mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint....then I say, teach me Lord, teach me Lord, how to wait!!! Glory to God...GOD IS AWESOME!!! Don't speak the negative cause that's satan's playground. You speak the promises of God aloud and see what happens. This could be the best thing in the world for your health, ONCE you get used to it!!! We NEVER know what God's plan is, but we must go on!!! HE will see you through it!!! And one thing I've learned in a short time is if God said HE would do it, HE WILL DO IT!!! Alleluia

    God bless

It comforts me to know I'm not alone in this, but I still pray for all of us to stay healthy for the rest of our lives.

"People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson

I'll pray for you also, Skipscan. I, too, am aging and know what it is to feel the frustration of not being able to do what I used to do.

As a word of encouragement, when my husband was in the service, he had a very sedentary job - he gained weight and lost the muscle of his teen years. When he was discharged and we went home, he got a job with a company that reclaimed strip mined land - 12 hours a day, picking rocks, planting grass and trees, spreading straw, usually on steep hillsides. He came home every night and collapsed. For two weeks, he kept saying, "I don't think I can do this." After two weeks, he no longer complained and as it went on, he regained muscle tone and lost quite a lot of weight. Today, he is 60 and in better physical shape than he was when he was 23. I think the hard physical labor literally saved or extended his life. It's all in God's plan.

On a more practical note, find out how you can pay into workers compensation. You can pay it yourself if need be and it will protect you should you get injured on the job. It's a really cheap form of insurance if your employer isn't paying into it. Each state is set up differently, so be sure and find out.

    Blessings to you!

I am praying for your health and well being, and for His richest blessings for you....

Father, we pray that You will watch over him, and give him the strength to work and to earn a living. Keep him safe from the evil one, and guide him to something that will give him what he needs. Bless his work, and efforts, and keep him strong and faithful..Amen...

For though I am absent from you in body,I am present with you in spirit, and delight to see how orderly you are, and how firm your faith in Christ is.
