    Did you ever notice....

Did you ever notice that when you're concerned about something.. you see and hear about it everywhere you turn??

I am concerned about my upcoming mammogram and the fact that my one breast has been bothering me.
Just today I received a prayer request for a lady who may have breast cancer, and two emails regarding breast cancer support.
Then as I was driving to the store I noticed a decorative flag in this person's front yard that had the breast cancer pink ribbon on it.

I am not superstitious.. good thing too.

Yes, I've noticed this phenomenon. My DH always said he never noticed all the "pregnancy" references/adds until I was pregnant (which was YEARS ago - 21 years ago, to be precise...).

It is a good thing not to be superstitious. It is also a good thing to share your concerns with your sisters. There are ALL KINDS of reasons for sensitive breasts. Mine are just flat out "cystic," but there is no sign of cancer. It does make the Mammo a little less comfortable but nothing to worry about.

Still, I'll be praying about the test--keep us posted!!
    Disconnection is not an option!

I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. ~ John 15:5-8

Yes. It's kinda like when you're going through a recent break up and everything seems to remind you of them. Not that I'm going through that right now - I'm just saying.

    Yup.

Like, when you buy (or thinking about buying) a certain model car, all of a sudden you notice all those same models driving around, whereas before you completely ignored them.

    Yup.......
I don't like meeting girls that are "half dressed" meaning showing too much cleavage and too much leg....... or having low pants so you can see their underwear........ and now we have a few girls of Assisted Living who wear those clothes! I absolutely detest that....... it comes from my past with my exhusband and I still have problems with that...... I feel safe with my hubby because he doesn't even notice them and don't care about any other girl but me, but I still don't like it....... I have changed so much that I only go outside in long pants or skirts to my ankles...... I wear t-shirts (not low-cut!) but no tops...... I feel very uncomfortable going out in shorts..... we tried it one time on an evening walk (when I still could come a bit out of the house) and I felt horrible so I never did it again.......

    Love you all,
    Mieke

Oh yea! And when you have a sore place on your body, suddenly you keep bumping it though you know you never did before.. But yea that stuff drives me crazy too...
"People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson

Oh, child, you can't go anywhere without seeing those pink ribbons!

Please be sure you're getting enough idodine. (I did a string on the Healthy Living sectoin on this. ) Just taking a kelp tablet or (maybe enough, maybe not) iodized salt usually doesn't do it. Mho.
Please pray for "the least of these" in the Persecuted Church Prayer Forum at top.

Acts 21 Now they have been informed about you that you continually teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to turn back from and forsake Moses...Therefore do just what we tell you. With us are 4 men who have taken a vow upon themselves. Take these men and purify yourself along with them and pay their expenses [for a temple offering],...Thus everybody will know that there is no truth in what they have been told about you, but that you yourself walk in observance of the Law of Moses.

I will have to read up on your thread about iodine.

I assume it has a lot of health benefits.
