In times like these I'm not crazy about running up my water bill just to keep a lush, green lawn in late summer. I say a little brown isn't a bad thing. It's a nice color.

If you want a brown yard then then not watering it is the way to have one.

Don't feel bad here in Cali we have summer for four season, winter has been cancelled indefinetly.
You're better off planting sand.

That's the way I feel about lawns. As hot and humid as it's been,I don't want to mow the yard.Many people rejoice when their yards dry up to nothing. Of course the famers don't like it none.Or the landscapers! The past couple of years we've had more rain than we know what to do with.A couple of years ago I think I mowed my lawn about four times all summer.Now,it's twice a week.
