I had a prayer request in early July and this is what I asked.
I ask you to pray for my Daughter, Brandi and her Husband, Shannon. They are having some problems in their marriage and Brandi is saying she can't take his mental abuse any longer. She loves him and we love him but he gets mentally abusive sometimes for no reason. Most of the time he is loving and sweet to her. He isn't physically abusive. Brandi has a 15 yo son from a previous marriage and he and Shannon lock horns sometimes so that makes it even worse
They are very active in their Church so that really makes it harder to understand. They have a daughter that will be one this month. He is so crazy about that little girl. I just ask that you pray for Brandi and Shannon that God will work this out for them.
Since that post, so many wonderful things have happened in their lives. God changed Shannon and last Sat. he gave his testimony in the men's breakfast that they have at their Church once a month. Brandi said that she has people coming up to her talking about how their husband or brother, etc. were amazed at his testimony. There has been a lot going on with Taylor too. I'm not going to get into it but he was being very rebellious and they found out that he was experimenting with pot. This past week he went to Church camp (he did not won't to go but they made him) and he came home today and this is the email Brandi sent me.
I just wanted to share part of it with you all.
Mom, You would not believe the change in Taylor. Here is what happened. He hugged me. Got in the car. I said Are you glad you went and he said yes. I said did you get something out of it. He said Yes. I said Are ya a Jesus Freak and he just laughed.
He then went on to say, I got Saved. I ran down front Crying. I kept my hands raised for like thirty minutes worshiping God. As he told me he got saved, I just started bawling. I was so soooo happy. He said he wasn't getting along with this one guy the whole time. He said he went down front and layed hands on him and prayed for him. He said they made up. He told me this kid has had a hard life and then he started crying again.
He spilled his guts to me about things he has done. Things that shocked me but he asked me not to tell and I'm not. If he wants to tell you and I am sure eventually he will, he can. He asked if I would forgive him for lying to me so much. He started bawling about all the lies he has told and the things he has done. I told him that I forgive him and that God took his sins and he cast them as far as the east is from the west. We hugged several times.
I can't tell you the joy that is in my heart.
He said, Mom, now I know about that feeling that only God can give. He said, nothing else can give that to you. He understood about the God shaped Hole that we try to fill up with everything but God and nothing fits BUT GOD!
I am just in Awe right now. I am so happy. All week , Taylor didn't get anything out of anything. Last night he prayed for that kid and Today is when he got saved. The LAST day! A certain guy spoke. Matt Pitt. Look him up on Tangle.com
His testimony is what spoke to Taylor's heart. He was on Drugs, made his mom cry over and over, his parents used tough love on him and I want to hear his testimony but Taylor wants to see him again. I am going to email him on facebook and tell him that he won my son over to the Lord!
I'm praising God!!!!!!!!
Taylor said he made a promise to God that he would never mess with drugs again. He said I don't want this to go away. Pray Pray Pray!!!!
I'm just over joyed!!!!
