Here are some other verses I use alot and count on the Lord to not lead me astray
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths
Proverbs 3: 5-6
Your part: 1. Trust in the Lord ( Do you trust Him that He will indeed, lead you and will not lead you astray?) 2. Don't follow your own understanding. 3. In all your ways acknowledge Him - seek His will and direction.
His part: He will lead you and guide you. That is His promise to you if you do your part. He cannot fail you.
It's a slam-dunk
One more thing...convictions from the Lord are something He keeps bringing before us in a gentle yet firm way.
Leadings from the enemy or our own flesh are a nagging or a "I just gotta have it" type of thing...
