    Prayers for sleep!

This week has been just horrible every night for me because I am struggling so much to sleep. I fall asleep for a second only to wake myself up because I am breathing so deeply through my nose which makes weird noises. I tried everything last night to clear my plugged up nose...took allergy medication, did nasal rinses and nasal sprays...nothing is helping. Once I get woke up a few times then I struggle to even go back to sleep at all! Its like then I am wide awake. Plus it was almost like when you have too much caffeine and are tired but can't sleep because the caffeine is keeping you awake. I didn't have anymore caffeine then usual but will cut down more today...though that is what is getting me through the days so I can function... I cut out my day time allergy medication in case that was part of the problem too. Didn't help.

Plus my blood sugar has been really bad for a few days too and I have no idea why. It keeps going too low so I have to eat sometime to get it up. Had to eat twice during the night then when the alarm finally went off it was really, really low as if I hadn't eaten all night...

I don't know what is going on...its these things and a few others that are just making me totally miserable...the worse is simply not getting enough sleep. Its got where I started having anxiety over falling asleep because as soon as I did I would wake myself up....over and over and over again. Its a terrible torment. Its just crazy! I don't know what is going on. I have been praying and praying the Lord helps me get the rest I need and each night its worse. I didn't really sleep until three in the morning, then still woke up every hour or so. Tried to sleep this morning after I got Nate to school...(I felt just sick from lack of sleep)..and it went just like it did last night. Then only after two hours I needed to eat something...again... Something is really messing with me anyway... I am not physically sick..but will be if I get too run down..usually I have more problems with my blood sugar when I am physically sick...but I am not.

So I need some heavy duty prayers please ...last night I tell you I felt like I was losing my mind being SO horribly tired yet not able to sleep! Its just awful....

    Thanks

    God bless

You certainly have my sympathy and my earnest prayer here, Kiddo! I've been wrestling the sleep problem all my life and its only getting worse.

Though I understand with your allergies and blood sugar etc, you're fighting many different battles at the same time. And you need to be on the clock to care for Nate.

I will remember you in prayer regularly that you get the good night's rest you need and deserve.

Thanks so much. I am going to try laying down again...a nap sure would help me get through the rest of this day! Its hard to help Nate with homework, do supper, pay bills, etc, when I can barely think straight half the time. I got pretty crappy with him yesterday and it was all due to my just being so tired and not feeling good from that. And I am worse today. I don't want to be like this!

    God bless

Last night, I dreamt that three bald ducks came into my room and started pecking at my pillows because they wanted their feathers back.

I will keep you in my prayers, I go through cycles Where I can't sleep well. However, I don't have the other problems that just make it worse for you. I hope you get well, and find some relief from the allergy symptoms as well....

Father, we pray that You will bless her and heal her. Help her to get the rest she needs and the relief from all that is just making it miserable for her. Strengthen her to do all that she has to do as a mother and as Your child. Guide her, give her wisdom and Your power for great endurance. May He bless you and keep you, May He guide you and keep you safe in all that you do.

I hope you get some rest......

I wish it was just insomina...that would be easier to deal with (I have had it before) but this is even worse because I do fall asleep only to either wake myself up breathing so deeply or my fan or whatever I am using decides to squeal just then...

I finally had to resort to using over the counter sleep medication. I had to take two to knock myself out enough to not hear myself or anything else so I could sleep... I slept really good but was so tired still yesterday after I got Nate to school I went back to bed. Then it took half the day to 'wake up'...which is why I don't like taking sleep aides but I was desperate for sleep! I could not endure another night like the one I had. Had to do it again last night too...I tried taking just one but kept waking myself up again.

I did a sleep study years ago...not sleeping well and went to the doctor and they had me do that sleep study...he wanted to put me on medication to help me sleep but I just found out I was pregnant with my son...so couldn't do anything. I know I don't sleep very well...very rarely do I sleep through the night... But its not usually this crazy. I will give it a little more time but it doesn't get better and I have to keep relying on over the counter sleep aides, I might consider talking to my doctor about it again. The thing is so many of those medications I just can't handle. If I am having 'hang overs' from just over the counter medication..what would RX meds do to me? And I don't know if I could adjust to a breathing machine..I SO hate air being blown into my nose...I feel like I can't breath!!

Thanks for everyone's prayers on this! Keep praying cause the underlining problem is still there..and I don't want to have to keep doping myself every night just to get some sleep...

    God bless
