Amazingly enough, I hardly had anything backfiring on me when we went out on Friday....... I seem to have more trouble with the visit of my parents.......
We get another visitor on Thursday, but that isn't that long, so I should be ok afterwards...... and then we plan to go out again on Friday, to the market where I haven't been in a year or 2! I said to Charles we gotta do it while I am in this shape...... if I get much trouble from it, then at least we did something fun! I hope we'll be able to order my glasses then too....... but that will probably be next week...... but those are only short trips..... and to the market will probably be a little longer....... I'm planning on buying some 3D-stuff and buying some fried fish..... Charles loves to eat those when they're hot and they got good fish on that market....... makes him enjoy going to the market..... so I really hope we can go....... it's getting colder here now too, so it's the best to go as fast as possible, so that will be this Friday or the next one....... we'll just make Sunday our spaghettiday for a change and eat pizza on Saturday....... as Charles can't do the preliminary cooking on Friday...... so we just postpone it one day....... and Saturday we would have to get some fresh veggies, but we may buy those on the market too...... we'll have to see...... Anyway it promises to be a good week...... today we take some extra rest, tomorrow afternoon we have a visitor and Friday it's hopefully off to the market! Maybe we'll do some shopping there too, I am looking for a special shirt and maybe I can find it downtown.....
Anyway, all these plans don't mean that we're out of pain...... on the contrary, we do have a lot of pain, both of us...... but we're trying to not let that stop us this week...... next week we'll take some rest, but I don't know when we can order my glasses, it may take another week...... we'll see.......
I am also struggling with wearing my legbrace all the time (day and night).... it's difficult to sleep with...... I can't wear it too much this week as I can't wear it on Friday....... going on the market I need to be able to bend my leg and the clothes shop I'd like to go to has a tiny elevator that I can't get in with my legs straight....... but after we come back it's mandatory that I wear it constantly to ease the pain....... so please pray for that too.......

Please continue to pray for us..... especially for Charles' feet that they may be able to walk a bit on Friday.......

    Love you all,
    Mieke
I would rather be dead than spend one second without Daddy!

Praying the Lord gives you both relief from the pain and helps you get used to your leg brace too! Praying everything goes well...

"People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith, and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson

Ya'll sound like you are keeping busy! That is good. I am still praying for you both. May the Lord be your health and may you have a good rest of the week.
...be strengthened with power through His Spirit into the inner man, that Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be full of strength to apprehend with all the saints what the breadth and length and height and depth are and to know the knowledge-surpassing love of Christ, that you may be filled unto all the fullness of God. Praying you have a wonderful market day tomorrow, and enjoy your time in the sunshine and fresh air. What 3-d things will you be looking to purchase? Any new recipes in the making from your food study courses?
Thinking of you and Charles tonight, as it was our spaghetti night.
Praying for a restful weekend with little pain.

    love you my dear friend,
    Jen

We went quickly to the market and only went to the stand where my 3D-material was and the fishstand and we bought some bellpeppers and grapefruits but that was it...... we had to wait a looooooong time for the taxi to bring us back home and it was a long ride too! But at least that was the dry part........ it was raining on the market most of the time and it was cold without sunshine...... and I had a very soft tyre so that didn't help either..... when we got home we immediately went to the bikeshop and put air in the tires and then it was ok to push it again for Charles and we went to the supermarket to buy the rest of our groceries....... but now we're back safely and tired and cold, so we'll probably take a nap soon......
I got real nice 3D-stuff, just sheets with pictures you can cut in 3D...... and I got some that I can share with Tina too.......
No we haven't made any recipes yet, they were not very attractive till now, but they should be better in the rest of the course.......
Spaghetti day is postponed to Sunday...... so Charles don't have to cook anymore today....... tomorrow is Pizza day, so he'll have time to do the spaghetti........

Thanks again for the prayers....... hopefully this outing won't give me too much afterpain........

    Love you all lots,
    Mieke

that the Lord reduces any 'unfortunate' after-effects from your outing. What a shame it was wet and cold, outings are so much nicer if the sun shines . . .

Thanks a lot Frances for the prayers.....

The afterpain has already started...... I am having huge bladderpains and Charles is aching all over from the wetness...... we put the heater on again after we took a nap and now it's a little warmer in the house which helps somewhat with Charles' joints...... my bladder unfortunately doesn't react to warmth, so I hope that will go away soon too as I want to do my Beth Moore study tonight...........

    Love you lots,
    Mieke

We slept most of the day away...... we were both hurting badly and still are.....
Probably the weather (cold and rainy) didn't help either....... so we postponed the spaghetti till Monday to give Charles the rest he needed today, and he was very grateful for that......
Please pray for us...... we need to go out again next week to order my glasses....... and maybe go to the OIM to get my legbrace fixed.......
Please pray the pain will subside and we'll feel better soon......

    Love you all lots,
    Mieke

Asking for sunshine, relief from yours and Charles' pain, and the rest you both need.

Spaghetti on Monday (something to look forward to)

    Mangia, Mangia...Eat, Eat!

    Lord Bless. Stephen
