I wonder how many every day sayings we can come up with having biblical origins For example "I saw the writing on the wall",what else there are quite a few I have heard in my life, any body else want to chime in?

God answers knee mail.
"it's a sign of the times", even secularr people say this...

To everything there is a season - all things happen at the right time
He don't know me from Adam...
For what mortal has ever heard the voice of the living God speaking out of fire, as we have, and survived? ~ Deuteronomy 5:26
If you're not prepared to risk your very life for your "enemy" you have no right to speak to him of love. ~ Daughter
Many say they are called... but I am pretty convinced that with many of them it was the wrong number. ~ Project Peter
Here are a few, though my favorite is the "handwriting on the wall".
Am I my brother’s keeper?
Comes from Genesis
Gen 4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? God is asking Cain where Abel is; a rhetorical question. Cain just murdered and buried Abel.
“Go the extra mile”
Probably from Mat 5:41 If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
The blind leading the blind.
Comes from Mat 15:14
Mat 15:14 Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."
“Practice what you preach”
A theme Jesus talked about more than once.
Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
Scapegoat
A scapegoat is a person who bears the blame for others. In the OT, a goat that is set free instead of sacrificed, but to carry the sins of the people. See Leviticus 16:11-34.

“To preserve the government we must also preserve morals. Morality rests on religion; if you destroy the foundation, the superstructure must fall. When the public mind becomes vitiated and corrupt, laws are a nullity and constitutions are waste paper.” – Daniel Webster, 4th of July, 1800, Oration at Hanover, N.H.
Hmm, no one's brought up "Eye for an eye" and people looove to harp on that one, but they also love to forget Jesus said otherwise and the Lord had declared vengeance being His own.<adding that extra bit cuz I don't wanna encourage this kind of scenerio;
Man (or Woman): Hey you took two of my pennies last week.
Theif: So?
Man (or Woman): *Pulls out tommygun* It's payback time (insert choice language here). *fires*
