    Old Catholicism

If I understand correctly, Old Catholicism is what was mainstream Roman Catholicism before the FIRST Vatican Council.

From what I understand, before the First Vatican Council, the Roman Catholic Church didn't have an official doctrine of Papal Infallibility.

Reportedly, some Roman Catholics split from the Roman Catholic Church because of the declaration of Papal Infallibility and formed the Old Catholic Church.

If I understand correctly, Old Catholicism and Traditionalist Catholicism are two different things.

I have heard that as well, to the point of the CC and the Orthodox Church not united with the rcc, not that I blame them really.

True, after each council, there are breakaway groups of Catholics. Some don't accept papal infallibility (as taught in Vatican I) and some don't accept ecumenical reforms taught in Vatican II.

Certain "Old" Catholic churches have modified themselves and allow for women priests.

    Yup.

Traditionalist Catholicism can come in the form of not accepting the liturgical reforms and celebrating the old version of mass where the priest didn't face the congregation, where women didn't touch the host, etc. or not accepting the doctrine.

I've done a little more research, and apparently at least some Old Catholics believe Vatican I blatantly contradicted earlier Roman Catholic doctrine.

But then I seriously doubt the Roman Catholic Church allowed women priests before Vatican I...
