    Hi.

Revelation 22:19 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Think second to the last verse of the Bible. Rev 22:18
18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I have a friend who was an LDS bishop, I have learned straight from the source, they add a LOT to the Bible, and continue to add. It's a long story.
Wonderful people, but I would Never join their faith.

The verse in Revelation is already listed, although it's potentially debatable whether the bit about "adding to this book" refers to the Bible as a whole or just the book of Revelation itself.

Either way, it's great that you want to get your children into a church that uses the Bible rather than a modified version of the Bible. Were you wanting to join them in church?
1Jn 4:1 NKJV Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1Th 5:21-22 NKJV Test all things; hold fast what is good. (22) Abstain from every form of evil.

So since you say they were 'raised Mormon', does that mean that you didn't raise them earlier, but now you are raising them?

If so, the best, very very best thing you can do, is to get involved with them yourself directly in attending a solid, Biblically grounded church together.

Especially if they were raised in another religion outside of Biblical Christianity like Mormonism, you simply giving them advice on where to go won't hold near the level of parental effect than you actually giving them the advice to go to church with you TOGETHER; as a family will!

I'd suggest starting there first. Your kids will respect that action much more than just a simple venue suggestion....and it won't put them on the defensive by chipping away at their childhood mormon beliefs. Get into church with them, and let the Word of God (The Bible) and the confiction of the Holy Spirit start doing the work!

    You can do it!
