Has anyone read "The Power of a Praying Wife?"

    Hello!

I have heard "The Power of a Praying Wife" recommended before (not by anyone I know personally), and I looked at its reviews on Amazon.com, but I was wondering if anyone here has read it and has any opinions on it?
It sounds like a good book, but I want to make sure it's not a book that's targeting women in troubled marriages before I read it. I don't have a troubled marriage, I would just love some ideas on what to pray about for my husband that I may not have thought of, and getting some perspective on praying for myself to become a more Godly wife.
Can anyone who has read this book give me their thoughts? Thanks!

I've read it multiple times and love it! The only group it's targeted for is wives. It goes through various topics that you can pray for your husband in, gives biblical reasons behind them, and she brings in real life examples. I absolutely love the book and now that you've brought it up, I might just go through it again.

I highly recommend it! It has great ideas and gives you examples of specific prayers to start you off. Every time I read it again, I find that it applies to my life in a new and different way.

I read it, too, and like Becky, thoroughly enjoyed it.
    I highly recommend it.
I read it and prayed many prayers for many years over my husband who was an atheist at that time.
    God answers prayer!
I am blessed to be the wife to a husband who has a huge heart for God, and is a wonderful spiritual leader for our family.

    In Christ,
    Jen

I have read it multiple times. It is really good for any wife and it focuses on ways you can pray for your husband in specific ways.

I've never read it, but I hear it's really good.

I can personally attest to the power of a praying wife (and mother, and friend, etc.). My husband can, too.

Thank you to our thread starter -- you reminded me that I need to read that book, so I just ordered it at the library! (extra knowledge is great before you head into marriage!)

This book really encouraged me to pray for my husband when, as a new Christian, he was rather alarmed by my "going loony" on him. Our marriage wasn't troubled, but I'm very glad that I did pray for him, since against all odds he was saved, and thank God he was, since he's now with the Lord.

It's a very encouraging book, and I highly recommend it.
Please could everyone pray for Mieke and Charles.

Thank you all! I was already pretty sure I would buy it, and all your positive posts regarding it have convinced me! I can't wait to read it.

Let us know how it goes... also, if you have any prayer requests, we can pray with you.

I will; thank you! I'm looking to become a more Godly wife, as well as get ever closer to the Lord. The more I cling to Him, the more in love with Him I become!
