I've tried to teach my children about God, being a first generation believer, I feel I don't know a lot to pass on. Tonight my six year old asked me to read the Bible more so that I can answer his questions about God.
Please help me and pray for God to give me wisdom and strength to be faithful and diligent in this area.
There is no better YOU than the YOU that God wants YOU to be.

What wisdom God has already spoken, and through a precious young vessel.
Set a specific time aside each day where you can study His word uninterrupted without any distractions, and pray that the Holy Spirit will guide your study.
I would recommend reading one chapter in the OT and one chapter in the NT.
And take notes. Things that you learned, questions that you have, things you want to share with others.
Find someone you can share your studies with; if possible, someone who is a bit further along in their studies who can help you with the questions that arise.
Lifting you up before our Father, that He will instill in you a passion and an unquenchable thirst to know Him through His scriptures.

....great posts, the Lord is victorious! Wow. God has given us so much in His Word. I can't believe I turned away for so long. Thanks for the encouragement.
God gave me a word just today. He said that all of His children have His Spirit in them to teach them about Jesus and bring to their remembrance all that His Word says. I don't have to be nervous.
