    new show - Three Rivers

Has anyone else seen this show? It's on Sunday nights, CBS, 8pm CST. It's about a trauma center that also handles organ donation. Even though I've worked in the medical setting for many years, it's hard to get into most of the hospital/er shows because of all the junk they throw into them of the more "mature" nature. It's possible this show has also had this in it, but I've missed it if it has.

Anyway, so far this is turning out to be a great show, if you can deal with realistic-type medical situations.

Katman, I'm glad you had that answer, because I drew a complete blank when I read the question. Two concussions do that to me more than I'd wish to recount.

Do the nurses and the doctors do the wild thing in the supply room or in an empty treatment room?

That's what I always asked my wife, the retired nurse!!!

When I worked in a hosp radiology dept for a few years, I realized why there is always a hospital in all the soap-operas.

One of the episodes was filmed here at Duquesne...something about a DU basketball player who needs an organ transplant, or something. They sent around an e-mail about extras, but I am not an athletic male more than six feet tall and of "diverse ethnicity," so I will not be appearing on the show.

They also filmed a scene from a Russel Crowe movie here a couple weeks ago, although I think all he did was sit on a bench on the bluff (a cliff-face at the back of campus overlooking the South Side) and stare at the jail. The jail (I never knew it was a jail) is apparently where his wife is being kept. In the movie, I mean.
"We are symbols and inhabit symbols; workmen, work, and tools, words and things, birth and death, all are emblems; but we sympathize with the symbols, and being infatuated with the economical uses of things, we do not know that they are thoughts." - Emerson, "The Poet" (Essays, Second Series)
