Thread: Post-trib Rapture is the best scenario

Lightbulb Post-trib Rapture is the best scenario

I used to be a pre-tribber but I recently switched to a post-trib interpretation of the Scriptures. You see, the post-trib position is the only one that allows for the most smugness. If the Tribulation starts and the Elect haven't been raptured then I can point and say "I told you so!" If the rapture occurs pre-tribulation then the pre-tribbers will have neither the ability nor inclination to be smug. The defense rests.

    Ok,

I no longer see pre-trib in scripture myself. I am concerned for those who may well be surprised when things start happening they can not reconcile with scripture. Especialy so as we know it will be in the midst of a time of great deception.

I doubt there will be much room in the Believers day for smugness.

Actually, this post was not supposed to be taken seriously. I thought I might bring some levity to a very controversial and hotly debated subject.

I got your intent, I believe that it is important.

Important not that any would believe as I do, but that we ALL be agreed on some central tennants of scripture.

    - Christ is sufficient for WHATEVER comes.

    - We ought to watch and pray expectantly. We ought to be ready.

    - We need to seek the Lord in scripture for wisdom and understanding, and not rely on what we have heard from other men... who may or may not have gotten it right.

My brothers (and sisters) are so, reguardless of their current understanding of scripture. I want us ALL to be WISE and find the Bridegroom return to find our lamps FULL of oil and BURNING BRIGHTLY.

I appreciate the discussion, and HONESTLY believe it IS productive as much as we are forced to turn to scripture for our discussion.

I look forward to the fellowship NO MATTER WHAT COMES!

In glory it will ALL be behind us, and will no LOONGER matter...

May we ALL encourage each other, and be USED of the Lord in encouraging one another with His WORD!

    Amen?

I thought I might bring some levity
    (OBTW).... I Like cheese.

Thanks. Maybe the answer is to hope for a pre-trib rapture but prepare for a post-trib one...
