As some of you may remember my husband's job was unfairly threatened during the summer. Anyway, the Lord intervened and he was moved to another school in his current district, through no fault of his own. He is an Asst. Principal. Anyway, he loves the new school, his co-workers etc. and the feeling is mutual.
Today the superintendent (same one who threatened his job last summer) called him into his offiice to tell him he would be meeting with the board of ed to determine whether or not his contract would be renewed, since his current one will expire soon.
He didn't say what his recommendation would be, but he did tell my husband that he has heard wonderful reports about him from his current supervisor , although in the other breath he said he didn't know if he could trust hubby's supervisor's assessment of my husband. Now mind you, HE is the one who hired this guy to begin with and who has sought his input and opinion on my husband's job performance.
My husband is well known and well liked with the board of ed members who have the ultimate vote in this. He has nothing negative in his file, and these people have worked with him and complimented him on a job well done over and over again, so if the superintendent tries to make waves, he will probably look kind of foolish, since there is no real basis for this.
Simply put, this man does not like my husband. My husband asked him what it is that he has done or not done that has been a problem, and the man didn't have an answer. It's obviously a personal thing. Maybe he doesn't even know why himself.
Needless to say, we are hoping that his contract is renewed or else he will be job hunting again.
Poor hubby gets discouraged being made to feel badly over literally NOTHING, except someone's misperceptions about him. This whole thing is backwards.
The current high school principal was known to have an affair with one of the teachers in the same school, yet he was promoted.
The one Asst. Principal has a letter of reprimand in his file, yet they gave him a 3 year renewal.
It almost seems that bad behavior is rewarded, while honesty and hard work is punished.
My husband has spoken about the Lord along the way.. I suspect that the enemy isn't too happy about it.
Thanks for listening.

My husband was fired the day of my sister's funeral because he refused to falsify maintenance records
The other mechanic did, still has a job
Us, on the other hand ended up with our credit ruined because it took 6 weeks to collect unemployment and please no lectures about saving an emergency fund. When you live pay check to pay check that isn't always possible. Just remember, it could always be worse.
