Boot lovers,any of you wear any exotic skin boots?

I had to take a pair I bought for my wife back to the boot store yesterday.She couldn't wear them and had to trade them in for something.So I got got some Nicona Larry Mahan ropers.They were factory
damaged and I got them half priced.I found out that they are made out of elephant skin.I was browsing and noticed they had all kinds of exotic skin boots.They had python,rattlessnake,aligator,ostrich,etc.I didn't set out to buy or purchase exotic boots,but at half price and for trade,can't beat it.

I just wondered how many of you wear these kind of boots.I expect most you all buy them to work in,like I do.But you gotta look nice once in a while!

I agree 100%! I bought some Justin Ranchers and love them.It's my all around boot,work,hunt,hike,etc.The new ones look ok,but they're not the kind you put a glossy shine on them,in fact you can't.I can't wear a riding heel,I wish I could,but can't.These are more casual,like Hushpuppies.

I have three pairs of cowboy boots. One (Justin's) I used for riding/working on the farm. One (Jack Daniel's) I use when going to sells or auctions. And one (Nocona Lambskins) when riding in parades or events that require less mud and dirt.

I knew a guy who was born and raised in Texas and he called those exotic skin boots, "sissy boots". He said anyone who wore a pair of those into a real cowboy bar wouldn't last 5 minutes. I was to embarassed to ask what a "real cowboy bar" is. Maybe what we call a biker bar her in Indy except their tough guys ride horses.

I normally have regular cow hide boots (shiner pair for church and unpolished for everything else) but i did have a pair of rattlesnake once. They looked cool for a while but even my dress boots have to get into some nasty stuff sometimes when i stop to help others and they were hard to clean up afterwards.

My wife bought me a pair of tennis shoes last year when she bought me a pair of shorts. I tried it a couple of times but decided if i had to wear rubber shoes with the shorts i would just stick with my wranglers and slacks
