Ok yesterday my mom brings me this huge pumpkin she got from some Mennonite ladies that had asked a farmer for any extra's he might have for making pumpkin pie. He gave them so many it was too much so they gave some to the chiropractor my mom see's. Anyway from what I am reading and seeing on video's on the net...I am think this pumpkin may be too big to do this..either that or I am going to have pumpkin pies all over the place...
I cannot stand those canned made pumpkin pies...they taste horrible. One time many years ago a co-worker made some by scratch and I actually liked it. So mom thinks I can do this with less then two days before Thanksgiving? She has never made one from scratch that I know of, so I doubt she knows how time consuming it is.
I also have cranberry sauce to make by scratch and fudge. As big as this thing is..I think it would take much longer then eight hours cooking in the oven. Check out this video:

I was trying to find out how to do it before I went to the store so I would know what to get..right now I am kind of freaking out...don't know if I should even try or not...beside the normal stuff I make I have to do laundry tomorrow and get Nate packed (plus get his medication ready in a weekly pill container) for a trip he is going on Friday. Unless someone knows this isn't that time consuming..I don't think I can do it.
What do you think?
