Hi ladies,
I'd like to direct this question to older ladies who still menstruate. As you have gotten older, have your periods become more painful? Mine have....just wondering if that is normal. I am currently 34, but in the past year or so things have started changing. It used to be cramps and period....almost at the same time. Lately, the cramps precede the bleeding by 24 hours!!! That is just so weird to me. And the cramps are bad.....I had to to take 5 ibuprofen, well 3 at once and 2 more a couple of hours later when I didn't have enough relief.
I am just wondering if I can expect the cramps to get worse and/or more unpredictable as I get older.
Thanks ladies![]()

You should consult your doctor, assuming you have insurance and a doctor.

Nothing much helped..not heating pads...just drugging myself like crazy.
. However, the women in my family have historically had early menopause. In the last two years I have noticed mine getting ever more painful and I have to change normally15-20 times per day for the first 2 or 3 days. Mine will also stop for about 24 hours, then come back. My cramps start the dsay before and continue for about a day after it stops. My doctor said I could document this for 12 consecutive months then go in to see about having my uterus frozen, thereby stopping the menstruating altogether. Don't know if I will go to that extreme, but it is an option
