I'm Certainly No Florida Gator Fan
. . . but I'm going to miss the witness of Tim Tebow. Today the Florida Gators are playing the Florida State Seminoles in their yearly rivalry. Tebow's eyeblack is referencing Hebrews 12:1-2.
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Each game he references a different passage of scripture on his eyeblack. It's nice to see a player with so much success remain humble and give all glory to the Lord. I pray his witness does a mighty work in his teammates and others he has had an opportunity to influence.
