I was able to go through the book of Joshua with some middle schoolers some time back. It was a great study. The biggest thing I took from the book is that we do have to make a choice to follow Him. Our walk has to have some intent behind it.

I haven't read it all, but from what I have read in Joshua, I loved it.

"Be strong and of a good courage..." repeated in the first chapter. As they say, that'll preach.

    lovex,

    I have a question??

Are you speaking of the a fiction book called Joshua? I say because of you commenting on a Gentle Jesus, I remember this fiction book about Joshua being Jesus.

If you are talking about the book of Joshua in OT I have read this one many times. I love it. It is a book of great encouragement. I love it when they cross the Jordan river and the water stops up stream. I love it when they march around Jericho and the walls come tumbling down.

But some how I am thinking you are talking about the Book called Joshua and yes, I thought it was a wonderfully done book, where Jesus is showing up around people and they do not even know it is Him. I read this book about 16 years ago. I would love to read it again and the sequels.

So I do wonder now??? Please let me know which book you are speaking of.
    In His strength,
    Phil. 3:14

I guess he maybe forgot he started this thread. I assumed he was talking about the fiction book too, which I really enjoyed and which, by the way, was made into a really good movie!

I assumed the OT Joshua because I never knew the other book existed.
