    Problem with Window 7

I have aquired a laptop with Windows 7 OS. The problem is that having installed the software for my Palm TE2 it will not HotSync, and after trying several times will now not HotSinc to my XP either.
    Also
Having installed my ISP CD I cannot get online either.
Is the problem one of incompatability? or is it the machine?

I would say it is compatible with windows 7 32 bit but not at is time with 64 bit

I'm not sure what is going on, but it should link to your xp machine.

Is your ISP cd compatible with windows 7?

I've solved part of the problem with the TE2 by doing a hard re-set, so it will now link to my XP, but not the Win.7.
Windows 7 hadn't been thought of when I got my disk to connect to the internet - I've tried to contact Orange to get an up to date one, but don't see anywhere on their website that offers one. I have tried to ring, but there is always apparently, a very long queue. I'd better leave it until after everyone has gone back to work or school . . .

Good to hear you got it to sync with xp, I was going to suggest a hard reset after all else, but heyit works

Fortunately I had the opportunity to beam my documents into another TE2 so after the hard re-set they were beamed back - saving me a lot of typing, for which I'm praising the Lord!! I've sent an Email to my ISP asking for help re. the connection issue.

I've now had a connection CD from my ISP but it keeps stopping at a notice saying it cannot locate broadband, is it just my suspicious nature, or does the ISP just want me to ring for help? (at 50p minute - they guarantee the call won't last longer than 60 minutes!).

Re. the Sony laptop - has anyone discovered how to get documentation for them in English? There are lots of possible languages, but clicking 'UK' gets Ukranian not United Kingdom and USA is not listed . . .
