We got about 2 inches of snow here in the Tennessee Valley, but it got down to 13 overnight, so now we have a huge Tennessee Valley Ice Skating Rink with 2 inches here, and probably a foot deep up in the mountains! The trouble is, our cars never learned to ice skate...

Supposed to get up to a scorching 22 degrees today, but the snow is not melting at all. Gonna be back down to 12 or 13 tonight again...

I hibernated all morning under warm blankets... Now I gotta go out in this cold! whaaaaaaaaaa.

I will check those jeans out! thanks!

its suppose to be -2 tonight according to my yahoo weather thing... the roads are pretty clear here but Nate and I saw the strangest thing this morning as I was taking him to school. There is a electric plant by his school that lets on steam..it was floating near the ground and covering a big tree that had totally turned white from the moisture freezing on it...the ground all around it was white too!

    I dare you!

We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; We drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; We drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated?" - D A Carson

You know Moonglow, I have seen people on campus when in college wear shorts and sandles when it got to the 30s-40s. Winter does that to people I guess. But walking in thick winter jackets that can limit movement cna make a person appreciate these warm days that come.

But I remember when at a weekend concerence for InterVarsity, it was zero degrees and me and my friends were out skating with no jackets. It was balming warm to us because that whole month, we had temps of -30 to -40 windchill. One of the older leaders from antoher school in another part of the state, where it didn't get that cold for that long came running out thinking we went nuts and couldn't believe we didn't have jackets on. But it felt warm outside, we were hot in those jackets. We kept all the layers of shirts nad pants on so it wasn't like we were decked out in swim suits.

It's freezing cold here too........ it's much colder than we're used to in this country...... they don't even have enough salt to keep the roads clean, so they warn everyone here in my town to stay in if you don't have to go out........
We only go out once a week to get our groceries downstairs..... but in front of our house it's pretty icy........ and there's still snow and snowing every once and a while....... we stay in the whole week anyway because I am bedridden, but now we don't mind it...... I hear the girls from Assisted Living complain about the cold and I am happy in my pj's in the bed!

    Love you,
